Negine Jasmine Sekandari is an Afghan-American  writer, actress, filmmaker, and storyteller based in Los Angeles. Raised in Sedona, Arizona, Negine’s work blends humor, romanticism, and cultural complexity to explore identity, family, and community. She wrote, directed, and starred in the short films Fariha and Haram Salami, with Fariha screening internationally.

A finalist in the prestigious Mosquers writing competition, Negine is also the founder of Space for Us Journal, an online series amplifying creative women of color. Her creative range spans comedy shows, music videos, and photography, including album covers and portraits. With a sharp comedic voice and an authentic perspective, Negine crafts stories that center representation, resilience, and the richness of multicultural experience.
